in much of florida dring many years, the season is quite long and can extend from unusualy early to unusualy late. it all depends on the weather. the better you get to know the conditions that ill cause P. subensis and C. cyanescens to fruit, the better you will be able to judge when the time is right.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

People usually start reporting decent shroom-scores in mid-May/early-June, for florida and much of the gulf coast.

We found three shrooms on monday at a field. Not much, but its been cold, and not particularly rainy, except some fog, obvious florida humidity, and it rained sunday night.

It is supposed to rain again tomorrow or sometime this weekend where I live, if you went in the morning during the morning dew maybe saturday morning, you might be able to find some. Probly not a significant amount tho.

whereislucy, do you live in SW florida? as to answer this persons question, i think shroom season is starting up here pretty soon. my friend who lives by a field has been noticing quite a few pins popping up here or there. id give it a month to really start picking up.
