Well I was listening to a Paul Stamets video and he was talking about how Mycelium can pretty much take on anything and be alright, especially if it has grown underground for years and years which I think it has in my spot so I'm hoping it didn't wash away because Ovoid mycelium grows Underground and above ground, right!? And I'll keep looking thanks for your response man

pfshroomer said: Hey... I've got a question about hunting these in the wild. Okay so I live by the TN River and it flooded like crazy last year...it took a lil bit to recede about a week if I remember correctly but it did and im ready to HUNT!!! I went out the other day and didn't find nothing but a tick on me...
Now theres a creek that runs off the river and its got prime potential for Ovoids, its got the Japanese Knotweed and all.. So what im asking is did this flood fuck up my year or help it? Im thinking it shouldnt really affect the outcome, but ive only been hunting Ovoids for about 3 years now.
Thanks for any help guys! Peace~
Should be fine, flooding is how the natural habitat ovoids propagate. Though I wouldn't get too excited for another month or so. Once Georgia pops in with their first fruits then you should start looking.

My patch has flooded every year for God knows how long. The ovoids have probably been coming up there for generations.

Flooding is usually only going to be a problem if it happens around the time the should be fruiting. That will definitely ruin the season.

So I know this is an Ovoid thread and all but just to pass some time...ive got some Psilocybe Subaeruginosa growing in a ziplock bag with some dead leaves and a empty cigarette box..dont ask me why I used the cigarette box but it was about the only cardboard I had at the time..anyway its showing great signs of improvement!!! Yayyy!!! Plus ive got a small little bottle of grain I sterilized and inoculated with Subaeruginosa LC. Heres some pics

PF are those mini-liquor bottles? that's a great idea to start those breeds that require a smaller more linear propagation!

Posting your face with mushrooms you picked and suspected to be active? It's your freedom buddy, do with it what you want.
In other news, the PNW is absolutely covered in ovoids right now. They really like it here.

We should be 2-3 weeks earlier this year, based on other vegetation

Traditionally, the official season thread starts with the first photo of ovoids from the Ohio river valley. That is because that is their natural range where they were first described in the literature.
Also and because the west coast is the land of fruits and nuts.
They have legal cannabis. Let us at least start the ovoid thread.
