-------------------- Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not. --Jac O'keeffe

I'm a fan and early Fleetwood Mac before the girls joined in.
What a trip that dude has been on. Messed up mind.

Opeth -- Faith in Others
The grave of our youth is up ahead And life has become a burden We move in circles of suppressed despair Waiting for the sun And turning stones to find evidence But it hides in the recesses of our hearts
A written decree of our loss And we carried no faith in the cross And the cold years are coming For the victims of a longing
Out through the doors of starvation And into the rains of damnation Where the bitter winds are singing For the victims of a longing
We carried along through squalor With an inborn need to dominate and possess It gives birth to an anger inside And we can't control this The blood of departure in our tracks Dripping from our emptying vessels Your hand reached out to hold mine But you're grasping melting ice
Asleep in the rain A child once again And the ghost in my head Has forgiven me
Lifted his curse upon me

Yo Ice my buddy sent me a link to this new album that I'm really digging, reminds me of something along the lines of Bonobo or Wax Tailor so you might like it. Here's the album on youtube...
But it's also available for free (or name your price, which if you're broke like me is nothing) here.

A.O.S--Half Empty
I never saw the bottle as half empty But here it's four a.m. and I'm still sober I'm staring at this black night sky with envy My god I hope it's worth it once it's over
I used to know the man who sits beside me But now he's just the shadow of a soul I pour another round of drinks inside me But the bottle, it ain't lookin very full
Oh the moon that's staring down at me is angry And the ground is growing weary of my feet I try to forget the past I left behind me But I might as well admit it's got me beat
This fuckin bottle next to me is dry But still I cannot feel a Goddamn thing I'm stuck here staring up into this night sky But the moon won't even listen to me sing
I never saw the bottle as half empty But now it's just a pile of broken glass I guess I'm just my own worst enemy I can drown myself but I can't drown my past

Eyedea was probably a genius but unfortunately he was also 19 or younger when he wrote all his music, making it a bit cringe-worthy at 28.
I wish I discovered him when I was a teenager.

naa, eyedea was on another level, and he continued writing music until he died when he was 28
