if not here you go: Product No. P1334 Description: Sigma Pseudo Narcotic Scent, LSD formulation powder DO a search at sigma-aldrich.com for the product number and you should get it. It is a chemical used to train dogs to smell LSD. It doesn't mean all dogs are trained for it, but I have no knowledge of that business.

I'm pretty sure that there are only a few dogs trained to smell LSD. Although that'd be enough to stop me sending it/smuggling it!

well that's the thing. What are they training dogs to find. I think if I were a place that specializes in training dogs, I would train them in everything just to compete with other facilities. Then again, maybe only certain dogs are trained. The dogs in shipping warehouses for example. I mean it's not like the feds have NEVER found cid in the mail. Who knows? I just don't like that myth people propagate that it isn't possible to smell LSD.

Yeah. Keep away from drugs. You're guaranteed to be killed from one drug or another!

Saw a documentary on this recently... people are challenging the reliability of dogs now, since so many searches result in a false positive due to unregulated training methods.
There is no hard and fast rule that is applied to what dogs are trained to smell. They've been known to alert positive for drugs to someone having a hamburger in their bag. Dogs are not machines... they are living creatures that have desires and intelligence. Once they figure out they get a reward from alerting positive, a lot of them will alert positive for nothing.
Of course, there are some very well trained dogs out there... it's just that they aren't 100% reliable.
The documentary made a little mention of what they looked for... it was almost always pot or coke.
As for LSD... it is odorless and tasteless. Any taste you detect from a tab comes from either the paper or the inks used. It is also possible it could be impurities.

They have been challenging dogs for a while now...

Worse than that, you cannot ask them questions in court, etc.
> As for LSD... it is odorless and tasteless.
Just because something is odorless and tasteless to humans does not always hold true for other animals.
