does brown rice go bad?

Ive had a bag of brown rice stored in my closet, open, for about 6 months, will this harm it or can i still use it? Any info is appreciated!

It will become rancid eventually.
I assume you can still use it for mushrooms, never tried it though.

It will become rancid over time...i wouldn't worry about 6 months...not enough to do any harm. The only thing is contams have a higher chance of being in your brf...just make sure you sterilize real good.

Well if the brown rice isen't in a flour... and doesn't smell or look fucked up, i cant see how it is bad. Just be sure to pressure cook it because more then likly you will get contams with the rice being open to the air and dust and whatnot. If your only boiling it then i wouldn't use it.
