Accidental Invetro

Ok so this is how it goes, afoaf innoculated 6 jars with tapalpa, only 2 made it to fruiting due to high contamination, well with those 4 jars that didnt make it, they just stuck them on top of a bookshelf, forgot all about them, then yesterday when afoaf is going to collect all the jars they have, they found one of the jars, was now 100% fully colonized with mycelium and had quite a few invetro mushrooms growing, they were just wondering if its still safe to use these mushrooms or not. Thanks in advance for the help.

So long as there's no odd colored/smelling funk growing in the jar as well, I would eat them.

there are no signs of any contaminants at all in the jar anymore, 100% mycellium and mushies.

You can still birth the jar and let them grow bigger. Or you can simply remove em all and birth the jar and wait for new ones.

You should definately birth it now for some decent results.

My first babies ever were invitro tapalpas. They are so anxious to pin they often pop up in the jar!

Thanks fish, i picked the mushies off and its in it own little small terrarium i set up, still abit eary of it some contminating my only 2 cakes, hopefully all goes well.

dude i ate shrooms that grew from a moldy cake. and had no problems.. ate 12 shrooms from a green cake, cake was green on bottom, but white on top where the shrooms grew.
im not dead yet so i think its safe

I'd say to go for it. Seems like a good idea to fruit it if there doesn't appear to be any contam.
