Are there any set screws on them? Look for tiny hex screws that, if they are there, they will be located in the most difficult to access part of the knob -- like directly below the handle.

I think the piece that goes up against the wall pulls off and there might be a screw or something behind it. If not than the next thing I would try would be to turn the levers counter clockwise gently. Not putting enough force on them to break them.
Look it up on youtube

The handle is often threaded, amd can be unscrewed.
So take a look at the picture. Look at the tip of the hand, follow now until you see that "ring" thats sticking out. From that ring, it can be unscrewed, and maybe you will find some sort of fastener inside the handle.

Like I said. Drink the fighting cock and beat the hell out of the handles with a jackhammer.

There's either a set screw underneath like right where the 90° turn is, or possibly on like the bottom of the handle, nearest-most the wall, either that or there should be an access panel on the other side of that wall where you can get into the back of the faucet.
It should have some kind of set screw though.
