Picks from this morning from a second flush out of some mini monos. First one I've seen stretching the veil like this.

Most definitely forced it's way out, must have been a strong cluster. I made sure there were no bottom hole in the bags I used for leakage prevention.

Hoping these germ, idk about the plates, I think I seen growth for a while now but it's so small and so fkn slow
What's your plan here?
It looks very much like an idea I've been having where you inject spores into the bottom of a shallow jar of grains and the first growth to reach the top of the jar wins the race and gets put on agar to inoculate LC. Just an idea I had to select for strong mycelium when you are working with new spores.

Actually as soon as I see growth im tranferring it to some plates. I think the longer I let the jars colonize the higher the chance of transferring bacteria will be. Then I'll just select the fastest growing sections on agar. I'm just having issues getting these things to germinate in agar

But yeah, not even my grow room. I went around my house and put my hydrometer in every space, searching for the highest RH. I've been having serious issues with these oysters aborting once they form a potentially solid cluster. This is the study.. highest reading of 55%. So far so good I'm glad I moved them and decided to hang instead of lay them on the counter, but I'm still only having a 50% success rate with these clusters, should have more than twice as many as this.
Wish i had a martha GH

Did you cook these yourself? Oysters shouldn't be bitter. Unless you are eating Panellus stipticus(Bitter Oyster). Sounds to me like someone did something wrong.

Dude are you strictly desiccant drying? Looks like it from your sig. Do yourself and your mushrooms a favor and grab a cheap $40 dehydrator. It will pay for itself the first time you use it. You want to get the moisture out of the fruits as soon as possible. The longer it takes to dry them the more potency loss will occur. You may not notice the difference but it's there.

Juiceh said: These Amazon subs are kicking out a really nice flush. I'm going out of town Friday morning though. Coming back Sunday. Gonna have to make a call tomorow night weather I harvest way early or let them grow until i get back and risk a possible sporesplosion.

Turns out the Amazon subs were popping veils just before I had to hop on a flight this morning. So I harvested everything and filled up the dehydrator. Here are 2 pics of them later in the day from the pics above 3/9.

3/10 morning:
 3/10 evening\night:

3/11 just prior to and during harvests at 4am:

Stuffed the dehydrator turned it on and headed out the door to head out of town for a couple days. How's that for fuckin' timing!!? Filled 8 15.5" dehydrator trays. Not bad for 2qts of spawn and a half a brick of coir for each sub. Looks like this was a pretty good clone!
