I'm getting hits all over for jobs, but I would prefer rocky mountains to anyplace.  Its hard to tell sometimes about cost of living on net but some comparison sites say Seattle is 12% cheaper than San Diego.  That's still expensive.

I only went there once, in the navy.  My most memorable moment was sitting on this boardwalk down by the ocean, I was in front of this little hot dog stand.  Then I see this fucking drunk bum, stumbling down the boardwalk, he sees the little things with relish and stuff on them beside the hot dog stand, walks over, takes the fork with a big pile of relish on it, sticks it in his mouth, says, 'fuck it' and sticks the fork back in and walks away.

I went and told the girl working at the hot dog stand.

Ballard has character. The old school "seashore" vibe is slowly being replaced by the hipster/yuppie takeover though.
Shoreline/Montlake Terrace is good too. Or cheaper, anyway.
Seattle proper is just 20 minutes away by car.

I was working right next to the space needle. 30 minutes by bus to 3rd and pike. Lot of fun there but I know what your saying about Ballard. I walked across the bridge every day to the library.

Looking for work etc.

I'm a big fan of Fremont too. I worked there for a bit it's such a cool little town.

They raised the price of bus fare though. I live in Aberdeen now. 4 dollars to ride the bus? Seriously? Luckily the person I was living with at the time his ma had a free bus card for her job. Let me use it I saved a lot of money.

The buses here are awesome I can get to Westport for a dollar. That shits stupid

If you want an apartment in the most hip part of downtown Seattle, except to pay at least $3-$4K a month.

If your definition of hip is the worst part of Bellevue maybe.

Looking for something nice in N Seattle (greater area), 1-2bdrm for yourself, I would expect $1500-2500mo. Nothing more or you're getting jipped.

Seriously nice fucking places in fantastic neighborhoods at that price.

Can you offer any insight as to why they're leaving needles laying around everywhere?
I mean I get that nodding off is kind of debilitating or whatever and the thing just slips to the ground.
But all they gotta do is keep a plastic pop bottle handy for disposals...at the very least.
So disrespectful.

Couldn't answer that, me and my friends kept all our needles.

The needle exchange gives you a 1 for 1 exchange rate so we kept all of ours.

Sorry, first reaction was to be defensive.
Probably because the majority of homeless addicts I've personally met in Seattle we're only living to get high, and could care less about where they dumped their trash. I wasn't one of those people, and would often get upset at people for leaving their used needles around on the ground. It's very disrespectful and not only that, but it blows up the spot so to speak.

Me and my friends personally kept our needles to exchange down town, since the U district exchange wasn't always open.
The one downtown on 3rd(?) gives you a one for one exchange rate, so it makes sense to hold onto your needles.

Are you stupid or something? You know perfectly well that the average US salary is like 25 an hour

Yea Ballard and Fremont are really nice. So is magnolia where I was living all though there isn't much there just suberbs. But it's a 15 dollar cab ride or 30 minute bus ride right to the heart of downtown.

So it was pretty chill ID take the bus into town pretty much every day and worked about 6 blocks away from the space needle. The new years show was Pretty awesome partied with these random people in the back of a gutted ambulance.
