Dont stress about Rhizo vs Fluffy, they dont ne ssecarily translate to strong/weak A fluffy culture will go rhizo with less nutrition in the agar recipe and vice versa. Youll know weak growth if you see it, just concentrate on transferring clean, healthy myc

I'm not stressing over rhizomorphic VS tomentose growth, but I am getting sectoring now!
The plates are colonizing faster with each transfer, and I'm doing my best to keep them clean.

Those look wicked potent and chunky haha I'm trying my hand on APE here. Just knocked up grains. They are alot slower to grow arnt they?

Mine were very slow (and those are my first apes that weren't just blobs), but I have them in a room that's colder than the rest of the house.
Grain colonization time wasn't bad though, and they didn't seem to take all that long to colonize the CVG either, but I used a pretty high spawn ratio, about 1.5:1

Nope, sorry. Might try on another round, but I have a lot of agar plates going, so I don't really have a use for spores right now.

lighter nutrition wise, the mycelium stretches out when there isnt much food hence it turns into rizomorphic,

The pre mixes seem to usually have high nutrients in the mix. Adding water can only make so much of a difference before the agar gets too soft
