it may well be genetics.

i used to have a strain of B+ that would pop veil early but keep growing a good amount. your's do look pretty small, but who knows.

perhaps you have already tried this, but i would let them keep going and see how much more they grow the caps start to flatten and spores drop, and how much bigger they get until that point.

loving the color and shape of them, tho

I agree it would be nice if you let them open right up. . . See what you're working with.

This is how I've felt every time I've grown so far, they pop too early and if I was to harvest when people say to i would get no weight  so I always let them go a little longer than I should.

Veils breaking early and fruit sizes being stunted is usually a sign of an over wet substrate, especially if you are not getting a lot if aborts.

Those look like classic over hydrated sub fruits IMO.

Over hydrated? But I always am sure to prep it slightly dry...

Well that then might be the issue but I would expect to see more aborts in that case.

Regardless start nailing your field capacity. Time to take off the training wheels

I'm pretty sure my syzygy tub is proper FC, I just started working with this bag of composted manure, it gets muddy super easy so I was being overly cautious but I think I have it figured out

Edit: Amazon came.. oh man another one. Fuck I must have went on a flask buying spree.
Well I guess Ill have enough

Got this 1000ml Erlenmyer for 5$. Has a slide on cap, fits tight with the flask. Think Ill pop an SFD up under it. Perfect for agar and liquid cultures

I got a couple more coming about the same price, with threaded glass and screw on caps. Love these!

Think this culture is isolated yet? Or does it need more work still

But if you're in a hurry, and really got to go
If you're in a hurry, might have to find out slow
That it's one thing to try and another to fly
You get there quicker just a step at a time
It's one thing to bark, another to bite
The show ain't over till you pack up at night

Heres a second flush on another 105qt ESS tub.

I pulled just under 11 ounces on the first flush and 2190 wet grams on this flush. I used 9 quarts of spawn. So the BE isn't that great but growing it's way makes the best use of my space.

How does your sub still have sufficient nutrients after an 11 oz yield to push out another ounce per qt? That's crazy

B+? It could be any cube but I'm just curious that looks just like the B+ I just grew.

I dropped it when I was dunking and broke it into like a dozen pieces. I think destroying the sub is key to good second flush.
