Where is your favirote place to trip?
    #2293955 - 02/02/04 12:49 PM (13 years, 6 months ago)

My favirote place is in the woods. Only thing missing is music but can always lisen to Mother Nature.

I generally just prefer any friend's house with people I know well. Comfortable circumstances can make all the difference between waking up and going "Oh shit, what the fuck was I doing last night?" or going "Oh shit. That's who I was doing last night."

Outdoors is definitely good, too, though. But I like having music around. And not having to worry about the weather, or just about anything along that line.

I love outdoors. :mushroom2: Nature is incredible in so many ways, and looking at it through mushrooms is all the more awe inspiring.

Everyone keeps commenting on how there's no music outdoors...and I keep wondering if these people are unaware of acoustic instruments?  Get a few people together in a comfortable and remote area of the woods, pound on some drums (your chest and tree stumps are drums, to me anyways ), accompany with an acoustic guitar or some kind of didgeridoo, add a few voices or sounds to the mix:  Now you've got music, in the great outdoors!

I know it's not quite the same as having a digitally remixed/mastered 12 minute jam session, played through 10" speakers with subwoofers, by your favorite band; but it's a damn good time for what it is.

note: make sure it's a remote area, it's not fun to see search lights streaming through the trees looking for that "unholy racket coming from the woods"; might want to side-step that possibility by doing this all during the daytime hours  :smirk:

Have fun

The city of San Francisco, from the fine arts center to the financial district and everything in between. Downtown LA is amazing as well. Close second would be the beach.

Our family has a house on a lake about an hour away from our hometown.
It's all natural wood finishes and soft colors, a huge stained glass window over the main room (which has a 30' high peaked ceiling), spiral staircases, large front porch and a wet sauna. It has a feeling of peace that permeates it.

That is in East Dennis, in Cape Cod, Massachusetts (USA)
There are some beaches that aren't crowded at all (a few times it was only me and some buddies there and nobody else).

I have to agree with the majority of the responses: the woods--or open fields without humans--are the best place to trip. I am blessed to live on an island, so i enjoy walking out onto the lake in the winter, when it is completely frozen. The only sound that enters my mind is the wind, which fades into and synchronizes my consciousness as I trip further. Basically, any place away from the inventions of man. If this is not possible, i would agree with nicechrisman: there are always headphones!

Definitely outside as long as the weather's nice. Don't really care all that much about the scenery as long as there's not a whole lot of activity going on (like a festival or a busy city street).

the woods...climp a large hill and check the views out on a hazy day...or even a sunny day...but i like the hazy/cloudy days better!

bring headphones with your favorite instrumentals! i also like the idea of turning the forest into your instruments...i'm going to try that next time.
