Need help with nitrous cracker

So I have a cheap plastic cracker and some N2O chargers, but I am having the hardest time trying to even use the thing. I put the charger in the cracker and twist it closed, but right when I get near the end it refuses to close. The threads keep getting messed up and there's a certain point it just won't go past. The cracker closes fine when there's no charger in it. Any advice? Am I just an idiot or is the cracker defective?

Yeah its probably the cracker
You can get a metal one from eBay for 12 bucks.

yeah at least get a metal one, i have one and i even have a hard time with it. best way to do it (aside from a tank) is to use a dispenser although they are expensive. But you can put 2-3 chargers in at once.

Yeah I figured a cheap plastic one would at least work a few times. The store I got it from doesn't give out refunds either. At least it was only 5 bucks I guess.

Just bite the bullet and buy a whipped cream dispenser-don't buy cheap cracker devices. Get the "Whip-it!" brand. It will only cost you about $40 and it will last you a life time. A good investment it is. Just be safe.

I've been wanting to buy one myself
I do nitrous enough that it would be worth it for me (a few hundred chargers a year).

I won't be buying one though I've already got a nice one that will also last me a life time. It's the little hand held kind but it works great and the threads are still solid after around 500 chargers.

If I did any more than I do though I would because when you buy enough whippets they offer the whip cream dispensers to you for a cheaper price from the vendor I use

Here you go, I built this the other day out of the top snipped off a solo bottle (to protect the bag from stream of nitrous) and two plastic bags taped on. Just in case the inner breaks. A knife inside the bags and a straw. I pre drilled a hole in the bulb with scissors to make it easier to pierce once inside the device. I had to use masking tape around the bulb to make it fit nice and tight (a better idea may be to keep the lid on and cut a hole in it) Take special care taping bags to bottle to ensure no gas will escape. I then used the knife inside to pierce bulb. Once the bags inflates, suck it up. Hope this helps :crazy2:

Also, i had a plug in the straw. You could just pierce a hole and put tape over it while the bag inflates.

Should be in ODD i think. But get one of the more expensive dispensors. I think they hold like 2-4 of the chargers in it. I went through 5 boxes of chargers with a better cracker. Had rubber on the sides. By the end i wish i would of spent 10$ more on the cheapest dispensor i could find. Blisters from trying to crack them, then a little bit of frostburn.

I think a cracker is a waste of money when you can make one safely from scrap but each to their own. That being said, the shortlived hit along with price of bulbs puts me off

Fuck crackers. Especially the plastic ones. They demand a great deal of exertion and then fuck up the balloons by freezing them.

Any headshop sells rigged dispensers



Besides not completely sucking like crackers, you can load like 3 whippets into a single balloon. These are the only way to go.

My cracker works great, and it's a little handheld one.

I have zero problems with mine.

Mine is metal though fuck plastic ones that just sounds like a bad idea.


I would like to try a legit whip cream dispenser and see if it's worth buying.
I can either get a legit dispenser or I can get an extra 140 chargers and just keep using my usual one lol.

I used to have a ceramic one. Until Pops found it. "What the hell kind of weird drugs is this?" Then I just went and took it back outta da twash can.

I plan on getting a new one anon. I love whippets, just doing a box every now and then. Or doing them on other drugs. I'd say no less than 25 boxes stacked up in the cabinet at all times is sufficiently stocked. It's one of those things ya gotta stock up on. Because they last about as long as a plate of spaghetti at a starving man convention. If that.

Another tip OP, use punching bag balloons, if u didn't already know that.

And remember to take vitamin b12

Isn't it great that things like this are legal?

As long as you only do a couple boxes per trip, it doesn't seem like a big deal to me. Same as having sheet of lsd or a couple grams of Molly.

Man, if you're using that much nitrous oxide you definitely should be using b12 supplements. You may not think about it now but when the future is finally here you'll have complications that could've very easily been avoided. That's a hell of a lot of nitrous. B12 vitamin supplements are cheap and if you have enough money to be spending on that much nitrous cartridges then you have more than enough money to spend on b12 supplements. Don't be stupid. Also, don't just think that eating some foods here and there that have a high level of vit. b12 in them that it will be sufficient enough. You have to care about your body and mind. Not trying to come of as a hard ass, just looking out for you bro. :hug:

I had the same damn problem until I figured out what was wrong.  The charger's tip is very tiny and there is too much "Play" inside the cracker where the Piercing needle is.  I found that I had to carefully center the tip of the charger onto the needle.... then slowly screw the bottom end in until it was firmly in place.. Then I put the balloon on and then easily screwed the rest of it in and it "cracked" the seal with no problem.

Alright well I'm probably gonna end up getting one of the dispensers since it'll be a good investment. I plan on trying nitrous while on acid anyways, and I probably couldn't operate a cracker while tripping haha. Thanks guys

Exactly what he said. It's not worth messing around with. Nitrous will deplete it. Space your use the best you can and load up on b12 before and especially after. Both with b12 rich foods and supplements. If using the supplements read up on the best way to take them to ensure you are absorbing them. And have a blast with those boxes!!!!

Oh and not sure if you ever tried balloon clips but you can fill a bunch up, clip them, and leave them lying around on the floor. You can get them at a party supply store. Cuts down on trying to use the cracker when you are ducked up and lets you go deeper with a couple in a row if that's your thing.

What actually are the symptoms/manifestations of vitamin b12 depletion? I mean I always intended to get b12, I've just never been too great at managing money.
