Alex gave the concise answer, which is true.

Frequent use: depends. Sometimes it's bad because you spend too much time in mushroom land. Other times because you're wasting mushrooms by taking it while your tolerance is built up too much.

Space out: depends.

Too frequently: what that means depends on the person, their reasons, their tolerance and if they're letting their responsibilities in life fall by the wayside.

Personality: it can, but honestly, it's more like you let it change your personality and decide to be less sociable.

i trip once a week for the last year or so and it did change my personality alot but made me more sociable because I use the trips to my advantage to try and reprogram my brain how i see fit. i guess i'm a little weird to some people because of all my "crazy" preceptions of this world but i only get into this kinda stuff with people i am close with you know, i don't go up to strangers and debate the meaning of life or how fucked our government is. it dosn't make you dumb or anything, just changes the way you look at things imo, wheter that's a good thing or not all depends on you.

I like to TRY to wait 2 weeks between. Otherwise, my tolerance gets pretty high.

I wait about 5 weeks in between my trips. Although, I'm probably going to extend that to 7-8 weeks in between trips because I need a break.

jtryptamine, are you talking about just mushroom trips? I thought you might just be talking about tripping in general, because lord knows your trips don't stop with mushrooms.

Just don't take them compulsively. Wait until you feel like you need to trip again. I don't mean the way a junky needs a fix either. You will be able to feel when it is time agian. Experiment take note of the results and try to learn from them.

You will enjoy your trips more, when spacing them out. I usually wait for a change of season to take them. 4 trips a year, thats plenty and the magic is always there.

It's a good thing, in the end. Part of the deprogramming process. It's why mind-altering drugs are illegal. Imagine if the masses started thinking for themselves?!

Just because something is unproven, and does not work for you, It does not mean it is a myth. I think vitamin c does something for the trip, I use Ester C and find that it changes the color experience of light, The trip always takes on the properties of a warm color instead of a cool color. I will say that some times it seems to slow the experience down . Oh well have fun
YMMV.

i told a guy at work i wasn't into watching football and other sports and
he said i must be gay and like to watch ballernias or someshit, I laughed
at the brainwashed, baseball watching, hotdog eating, all america idoit who lives his life based on consumerism and greed, a perfect citizen who
dosn't question authority and believes everything the government says.

It's funny too, because if you step back from the situation you'll notice a few things about humanity. We *like* being told how to act, what to wear, where to eat, what to drive, etc. It's fulfilling for the human body to complete a task, a sense of satisfaction. You can be "satisfied" all day living up to someone else's expectations, because at least you got something done. You were productive. You accomplished something. The more like you being told how to think, feel, etc the easier it is. The best part is, not only do you go on mindlessly following, but any that have strayed from the pack will surely catchup when you get to them.

If the radio, TV, or internet isn't telling you how to live your life, there are always insecurities and inadequacies. Have the person make themselves feel like nothing because they're easier to control when they have no self-esteem.

i watch some sports. but i do buy into any of there "hyping" and constant barrage of advertisments. i watch soley because i understand the essence of competition and pushing yourself. plus playing sports is fun, thats how it was meant to be and thats how i look at it. I am still firmly against consumeristic "advertising". all it is, is (like you said) brainwashing media.
