I was just wondering if there's a database of past busts and convictions aside from media archives? it seems like this sort of information should be available, but i can't find any comprehensive record of convictions. Any information would be helpful, but i'm specifically looking for convictions on production charges. i have a law paper due in a month and my idiot prof isn't much of a help, and dont even get me started with the TA's. I'm looking for information on any illegal substance busts, so any info would be great.
Thanks all

i'm also looking for one of these in California (pot busts)...if they exist. isn't it publically accessible information?

those are mythoughts, ifigure any info thats available to the media should be availableto the public. Where are judicial records stored that they are so available to every half decent lawyer known to man, yet seemingly unavailable to the average joe? Lets get some legal heads in here to clear up this issue. Is it simply a matter of taking a trip down to some records divsion and wading through paperwork? or is it something that can only be done through legal channels? i'mlooking more for conviction stats, butthorough case-by-case info would be better

You should be able to find conviction/arrest statistics by inquiring thru your local police station, and the courts should be able to point you to archives containing all non-active records....they're probably just holding out on you. The files have to be stored somewhere, and they're public, so go pester your law enforcement and judicial establishments until they help you.

though i cant remember the addy, mjshroomer has a site that has tons of busts and sentencings. they arent bookmarked, though. you'll have to scan through them to find what you want.
