Well brown rice is pretty much the highest carbohydrate containing rice (about 85% carbs). About 8% protein and a tad bit of fibre and the addition of verm provides water. So certainly in BRF we are talking high carbs/water with a dash of protein.

Then why are manure's so good? I dont think they contins much carbs at all, the animals suck most of the carbs out.

Carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals....just like humans essentially.

I couldnt see shrooms containing much if any fats.. and seeds contain lots of fats, protiens, and carbs but manures still rule with yields and flushes. I beleive that The basic N-P-K's are used by shrooms. Ill do some reserching. One guys "Sev" seems to think Phosphorus is key for psylocin/psilocybin production.

I am very sure you get a (much) higher yield from 100 g birdseed than from 100 g dry manure.

Um every grow ive seen so far ive calculated the square feet and how many oz per flush.. The bulk neglect grow got 2 oz/ft with 3 flushes while most seed/grain grows get more like 1-1.6 oz/ft. Most guys have probelms with white millit to just pin so i cant see WBS yielding much. That would be a good experiment to see but i wouldnt waste my time anytime soon because i still think manures are best, mabey after i finish my current bulk rabbit manure/coffee experiment. Of course each substrate should have 25/25 mixed in, but that wouldnt be counted in weight wise.

With the same thickness of the substrate layer?

Its more difficult to deliver water to grains than manure. Smaller flushes but more of them.
White millet doesnt pin well? You mean uncased?

Cased millet gives excellent flushes.

Grower - we didnt realise you were an expert on mushroom biology and cultivation - you certaintly hid that well from the content of your previous posts.
Why do you feel the need to open your mouth if you obviously dont have the experience, knowledge or any factual evidence to back up what your posting?
Just becuase your friend or whomever couldnt get millet to pin from their own inexperience, doesnt automatically mean that it isnt a high yielding substrate.
WHy do you question mushrooms consumming fats? Do you have any factual evidence on the biology of mushrooms that demonstrates this to be false. Ofcourse you dont, becuase your speaking from your own misguided opinion.
In terms of alkaloid production, psilocybe mushrooms convert substrate-based tryptophan into psilocybin and psilocin. In terms of tryptophan contents, millet has one of the highest contents.
Millet yields more, produces bigger flushes, more potent cubensis - and of that i am 100% sure.
BRF, manure and straw do not even compare.
Please refrain from voicing your opinion until you have enough experience or knowledge to have a valid one...

Fact or assumption?

Someone else's assumption? Gartz states that somewhere, and Stamets picked up on it - apparently they are fairly similar in structure. I assume there is some factual basis behind their statements, but i cant be certain.
