For the past few casings after I case, and hyphal knots show up, a grey fuzz will appear, which ultimately turns to green mold a day later. Im spawing 3-4 quarts of popcorn to 2 gallons of straw, casing with 60/40. Before I stopped growing(Just started back up, this has happened on 2 casings) this never happened. Could It be that My casing layer is colonizing too slow? Is my casing layer too wet? I mist with a 1/10 solution of peroxide/water every time I check on the casing, and mist the air with lysol. I mean its a textbook grow, but with a nasty contamn at the end. If I did not case the straw, how much of a decrease in the yeild can I expect compared to if I cased.Any input is greatly appriciated. Thanks
