Love that mutant in the first one. The cap to stipe ratio on the inverted one is interesting. And yet, it has a veil.

I would love to see a tub of upside-down shrooms. Clone that bad boy. Dry it and save it for tissue sample later.

I've never seen a clone of a mutant produce a tub with more mutants than average. mutations like upside down shrooms seem to be more environmental or mishaps rather than genetic predetermination. regardless though they're cool to clone and try

Hmm, this AA+ I've been working with put out a ton of mutants that looked like pins that just fused together, like siamese twins I suppose. It happened in every tub I grew them in so I don't think it was environmental. I guess I should have tried cloning it but tbh I didn't like it and wanted to get rid of that pheno.

He is correct on the high spawn ratio.....used 7qts spawn for 1brick coir 2.5qts vermiculite a couple scoops of gypsum and ~5.5qts water
Still seems fast for PE from what I've heard, but I only use about 4qts spawn when I do a tub so I guess that's why it seems so fast to me.

I'm no where near that high.....I'm not even at 1:1 I think
This is a 66qt monotub with about 4 inches of substrate

Mycologist217 said: Pretty stoked tonight.....I spawned a monotub yesterday evening with an isolate (my first isolate) shooting in the dark for fruiting abilities...,but it came from a clone taken from a badass Penis Envy.....at any rate
Here's a shot at spawning and now about 28 hours later:

Thanks mate, The darker patches are writing on the bottom of the dish This is my first proper go at agar, Can you point out the different sections you think I should take please? Cause it all just looks like fat arse plant root style rhizomorphic myc haha, Where as the rest of the spores ive germinated from the same print have a lot more sections of cottony myc aswell. ^^To me all the myc on the bottom dish looks pretty much the same- but that's just with the naked eye. Havent made any transfers yet, I just Took some pins from a cake and dropped them on these agars I was pretty crazy about my sterile technique. Cheers man.

Red Reishi is getting big!

AA+ tubs at two weeks post spawn-- weirdest mycelium yet. No pins yet. Tub 1 17 day post spawn

Tub 2 10 day post spawn

KSSS tubs popping pins. Aren't they purdy?

If you delete the image it should remove from both posts. I edited anyway, but it's a good idea if you're worried about it floating around. Still easy to link to.

Hey I have a question, does this look normal to you guys, we picked the first flush and now all these mushrooms look like their going to mature very tiny? The first fruits were pretty tall...
