If he needs time he could always just freeze the fruit or no? Or would that just kill the culture? He could at least fridge it in a bag for some extra time

Thanks. I've bought and watche RRs videos before. That's how I learned to grow. I was just thinking maybe Pasty has a thread with a TEK for cloning that's awesome and new like the "Tiger Drop."

not the freeezer. bag in the fridge is ok for a day or two. it will fuzz up with aerohyphae first but eventually go rotten if in a sealed bag.
I don't have a link, look up your own. use cardboard, or some coir things that don't contaminate on their own but cubensis grows on. that way you can keep mycelium around without requireing sterile technique, until you want to move it back to cultivation then you clean it up with agar.

I think I remember RR saying he has cloned a dry fruit before.

if it's dried out without heat you might be able to clone it but the longer you wait the worse.

There is a process for cloning from old dried fruits but its a lot more involved than regular cloning.
Ive kept fruits in paper bags for a few days and cloned with no problems.
I sugguest you take tissue to several plates, since its your first time. I had no trouble cloning my first time I think you'll do fine

My plan has been to just use my syringe to poke through the bottom part of the stems or fruit I'd like to clone, and inject the pieces of tissue remaining in the hollow part of the needle into LC jars, and find out what jar has the best performing LC. I haven't grown in almost a year.

that's between low tech and need to be sterile. you're going low tech to LC and that's the worst idea.
you want to make a LC with verified clean cultures, like a clone that you transferred on agar first.

No bueno dude. The outside of the fruit is dirty. When we clone we tear (not cut) a fruit open to expose virgin tissue.
Often times cultures started from clone tissue need to be transferred away from bacteria. You definitely dont want that in an LC.
Do you have access to agar?
