You can spawn oysters at a much higher ratio than cubes. 1:10 is pretty common. I just layered the bags until they were full but not too heavy to rip the bags. the mulch doesn't smell at all  ended up getting 2 bags per quart jar.

or maybe you meant 3 bags of scott's? that would be way too mulch. that bag is like 3' tall and weighs a shitload.

I personally hate dry sclerotia, best eaten fresh with a nice beer to chase it. The first couple are pretty bitter but soon ya get to just snacking on em. I had a party once where I just put a 500 grams in a paper bag and people just munched all night.

:vibin:

Yea dude thinking on it I shouldn't have even opened the jar yet but its my first stones, it was driving me nuts haha had to know how they were doing
I tasted one and it was pretty good man it was like kind of sour but nutty and good!

I don't really eat them enough  to use that whole jar so I figured I'd just throw them in the dehydrator

Honestly truffles taste amazing... has a hint of cubensis after taste but not that strong, and the structure of truffles feels pleasant in the mouth :awesomenod:

could be...
but you also have a pretty good flush pulling water and nutrients from a pretty small substrate.
I'd say clone some of those because they have good flushing / clustering qualities and then put the clone on a larger / deeper / more nutritious substrate. Horse manure and straw tend to produce larger fruits - if the genetic capacity is there..

Overall I'd say - looking good. Healthy shrooms there man!

Looks kind of dry. Are those veils tearing before the cap flattens out?

I diced and dried some sclerotia and they were super easy to eat.  Better than fresh imo.  But fresh ones aren't nearly as disgusting as actual mushrooms.
