Hello everyone!
I am new to this place but not new to the shroom.
I've had them before in high school (back in 98), and only had 2 high dose experiences.
Recently I have been able to find some dried mushrooms, but wanted to grow myself as these only come around once a decade for me.
My question is, am I able to grow them using the dried shrooms I have now?
I tried purchasing a grow kit with spores but I live in a state where no one will ship me spores.
If possible, what would I need? All the grow kits I've looked at requires spores..
Do spores exist in dried shrooms I could use?

Read the guide in my signature, it'll help you get going in the right direction. You may have a hard time getting someone in the US to send you spores, but there are roundabout ways. One option is to get a po box in another state, alternatively you could look at international mail as well. There are some sources in other countries that will send you spores.

Grow kits are a rip off and you can get much better results with doing it yourself. You can find someone here to send you a print 
Basically there are a few main methods folks use...the most common for beginners used to be the PF Tek. It's popular because it does not require a pressure cooker. All the materials can be had for less than 50 bucks. The set back is the yields aren't all that great (2-7g a cake) and you will always be limited without a pressure cooker. Those are pretty much in line with the most up to date PF Tek methods. Save yourself lots of time and money and build a proper SGFC if you are going the PF Tek route. You can always repurpose your SGFC for lots of other projects down the line if you choose
With a pressure cooker the doors really open. Agar IMO is the cornerstone to successful mushroom growing, and pastywhytes Tek works the best for me. It's simple and doesn't cost much money at all. With pasty's Tek, a pressure cooker, and one spore print, I could very easily grow enough mushrooms to last me my entire life without needing new spores. Here's some agar links:

from agar, the possibilities are endless...you can take it to a grain jar, expand and then spawn to bulk. You can make liquid innoculant and do contained bottle or bag grows. You can even just case grains if you are so inclined. There are lots of possibilities. All possibilities though you'll want a still air box. Here's a still air box link:

Reading all this stuff helped me in the beginning. I costs less than 10 bucks to grow a dry pound once you've got your initial investment. I suggest starting with a still air box, a pressure cooker, and agar. If you just want a relatively personal stash of mushrooms though, the PF Tek will serve you well. This place is often a dick sucking contest and everyone here will try and lobby why their way is best, but ultimately you'll have to find what works best for you. It's unlikely you'll find anybody here that will tell you to waste your money on a grow kit. Good luck.

Wow thanks, so much info!
I make decent money, I'd like to grow it the proper way, is have no issue getting a pressure cooker. Who knows, might make some food as well!
