Most potent: Azures

Problem with Azures is you have to be a goddamn "SuperPro" to grow them indoors.

As you are just starting you will be growing P.Cubs like 98% of everyone here. All you have to do is pick a strain.

I had some BM's from a vendor here go from spore to fruit in less than 30 days, that includes casing!

But a strain is just that. A strain.

Mild differences, but in the end they are all still P.Cubs.

aye well said....some strains do seem to grow bigger than others. EQ's tend to be extremely huge, even off of cakes. B+'s are one of my favourites as they dry very well. but potency of all strains is about the same. and potency depends on how well you grow them. and dry them(if you want to dry them). a lot of people would say that B+ isn't a very good beginner strain though, as they're extremely slow colonizers. meh. never really noticed though. stick to some of the classic looking cubes. B+, EQ, burma, golden teacher, i wouldn't try something like penis envy my first time.

seen a LOT of B+'s and highly recommend them for folk starting out. For a really long time it was the ONLY strain that grew out reliably. plan on 3 weeks for full colinzation of pf cakes. ya the outside may colonize after 2 but if you break it up you'll notice the inside won't be white and your end yield will be less than if you waited the extra week. Also avoid the temptation to check them more than once/week. the 3 week wait seems to work well, get an even better yeild if you leave em in the jar until you see pins starting to form. but that usually takes closer to 5 weeks.

Patience is a virtue we will all one day acquire.

Blue Meanies (BM) from Ralphsters are much faster than b+ and produce about the same size/quanitity. A cube is a cube they'll all the same potency if grown the same way.

although Stivje and demeijer's study in 1993 demonstrated that different cubensis strains grown under identical conditions (the same as possible) did vary in alkaloid content consistantly - so therefore proving that cubensis strains do vary in potency.

I would be more concerned with keeping everything as clean and as sterile as possible, then potency.
as for strains, B+ is a good one to start with, really helps with learning patience. Also, my friend's phonix monkey said it to be a fairly potent fruit.
folks have said EQ's are great for beginners.
if all you want is fast , fast, super fast colonization. get your temp to 86F and use a SE asian variety like Cambo's.

oh, and read all the faqs.

Is this refering to growing on BRF? Or will that be longer?
