no, was kind of implied by vested intrest the news media had.
I cant think of another restriction on them besides the government that would cause them not to report something they deemed newsworthy

Not if you consider the long term. They'd get better ratings in the long run if they continue to cover the supposed search for Martian life, rather than the actual discovery of it. BTW, I never said it was a government cover-up. Maybe a media cover-up, but not a government one.

Heh Silver you just have more trust in the big media outlets cooperation (i guess collusion would be more fitting.....I love that word, collusion) than I do.
Either way though I totally support space exploration even if all this has happened.
The problem solving involoved has led to some really amazing discoveris and I'd much rather have my tax dollars going to that than to secure Haliburton some oil

A new explorer window opens, but it is blank white and it sits there for several minutes ansd the mouse pointer is showing an arrow and an hourglas.
Then it says "cannot find server".

It's being reported in all sorts of different news media in Australia, so it's clearly not some sort of "Weekly World News" article. There seems to be a good deal of scientific support for this, though there are also those in the scientific community who are naturally skeptical about it. And maybe I was too quick to jump on the fact that the American media hasn't picked this up yet. There may be a little lag time before they report on this.
