Well, at least he bothered to, unlike what I've heard about ol' Bushy.
Paul Martin is the toothy old man on the right.
Cpl. Murphy had only five working days left before his scheduled return to Canada.

i don't think it would be possible for Bush to go to all the funerals, maybe he doesn't want to show any favouritism. Maybe he's just a disrespectful bastard, or maybe he is afraid that if he goes to them regualrly he will be easily found for assasination.

Maybe Bush can't bare to look at the families of the men he's sent to be killed in the eye.

all politics aside, those pictures are incredibly sad...
all they were doing is following orders and serving their country.

Yep, they trusted the leaders of this country and were let down. They paid the ultimate price for absolutely nothing.

Next time, shave before you have your picture taken.

Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains. Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

That is no excuse. As a soldier you deserve what you get. There is a thing called pesonal choice, and we all make it.

yes of course the soldiers knew exactly what they were getting into it's sad nonetheless. so many young lives cut short. at the very least, we owe their families an explanation of exactly what it is their sons and daughters were fighting for...
