Well it would just be an option, so on the whole it would not be the original PM system.
And each previous message could be accessed via a simple menu, like the one that I took a screen shot of here, which is used on another forum for long threads. This would enable you to have all previous messages in an exchange with someone to be in one sequential list (the thing pictured), contrary to the way the current system works where every single message is simply stacked on top of the last one in a huge list, without the ability to group all messages together from a particular individual. All previous messages would be as easy to access as flipping through a pamphlet.

Also, MsgBox works like the forums. Threads bump to the top; older, inactive conversations fall back. I don't know what you meant with your sequentially statement, but that's how MsgBox works.

I meant sequential messages. The threading means that one thread might have the most recent message, but then the second message in that thread might be weeks old, whereas another thread might have a more recent message. I mean sequential by the date of the message.

A lot of us hate msgbox and have since it was created. I'd have it disabled, too, if I didn't need it for banned users to get in touch with me.
i like this idea.

Anything is better than nothing. And yeah, if a person wants to invite another person to turn MsgBox on, it should be their responsibility to manually do it, so I take back my first suggestion.
Can we have the feature for displaying a notice that the other person sees, for MsgBox? And I think it would work best if you could turn the notice on and off for each individual thread. Because if you have an active thread with another Shroomery member, there's no reason for them to see the notice each time they submit a post.

Looks like unicode characters aren't accepted in MsgBox.

Saw that you added page numbers just now. Thanks. Maybe move the page numbers to the top so one does not need to scroll through a potentially very long thread just to get to different pages.
And a 'Quote' feature would be nice too. For your own posts as well.. (having the BBCode version of your own posts can come in handy — I frequently forward my PMs to others (my PMs )).

Having this thing appear at the top of the message screen in addition to the bottom would be convenient. Also, it isn't letting me look at old encrypted MsgBox messages (it isn't even giving me an opportunity to enter the password).
And, please, email alerts option for MsgBox!

OK, it dumped my old MsgBox encryption set up for no reason and when I try to set up a new one, it gives me an error!

Thank you for reporting this problem! I apologize for the inconvenience, I don't really use the msgbox so I didn't notice it. Can you try setting up a new key and see if it works now?

No, it creates the key, but everytime I try to send an encrypted message it asks me to create a new one.
And on another note, I keep receiving the following notice in many threads, including this one:
