same "birth"day, different rate of growth
    #2285475 - 01/29/04 11:27 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

suppose a person has ten cakes of B+ all innoculated and birthed at the same time. suppose however, that the mushrooms don't all mature at the same rate. at what point should the whole flush be cutivated? should the whole flush be cultivated at one time? or could one simply pick them as they mature? supposing neither is detrimental, is either beneficial, in regard to later flushes?

Completely normal, first of all. Second of all, pick them as they mature to your satisfaction. Even better, eat em as you pick em!

well, i ate 'em fresh off my last op, and this time i'd just like to achieve greater yield, and perhaps dry some for later, so which is it!?

It is best to pick clusters at the same time. You can leave individual shrooms on casing/cakes to continue growing until they are ready.
