so water isn't H2O its 2H OH- <=> H2O
water is constantly being created and destroyed and a lot of times it can get consumed in a chemical reaction due to its reactivity

This is a protest and the cops already killed one of the protesters. Yet, there is zero outrage. Why can't we be outraged like black people?! I'm guessing we're more civilized.

"Desertification is a fancy word for land that is turning to desert," states Allan Savory in his quiet but inspirational form. And it's happening to about two-thirds of the world's grasslands, accelerating climate change and causing traditional grazing societies to descend into social chaos. Savory has devoted his life to stopping it. He now believes, and his work so far shows, that a surprising factor can protect grasslands and even reclaim degraded land that was once desert. The role of livestock in a new agriculture that can save city-based civilization. Allan discusses how animals, such as sheep, can be used to heal landscapes, combat climate change, restore economies, increase soil fertility, produce clean water, provide healthy habitat for wildlife, and more.
Allan Savory definitely is an interesting guy, and I've brought him up before in the office. But apparently in colleges in the American West there's an attitude of doubt that his methods would work in the west cause they haven't been replicated. But I did bring this up with a range specialist to see maybe if we can't get one of the more responsible and competent ranchers to work with us on this. But I doubt it will see fruition.
Also, http://www.slate.com/articles/life/food/2013/04/allan_savory_s_ted_talk_is_wrong_and_the_benefits_of_holistic_grazing_have.html
But I'm not a rangeland scientist. I'm a soil/water guy

I'd go up there and protest too but I know I'll just get killed or in jail for 5-10 years.

What people don't get is that the backburn causes juniper to fall under control, which leaves more ground water for the sage brush and grasses. Couch environmentalists are clueless and a fucking joke. If you want to be an environmentalist you'd better at least be immersed in the field, not just the hype. Hype only serves to discredit what you profess to know so much about.

so the current fire ecology and fire regime isn't like that any more. right now cheat grass is taking over the west (mainly nevada) and cheat grass needs fire to germinated its seeds. cheatgrass will actually attatch itself to the bottom of trucks cause it feels the heat and knows it can start a fire.

There have billions and billions of tons of animal mass consuming water and food for hundreds of millions of years and yet there is no less water for it. Amazing. It does not get destroyed.

This. The BLM actually assessed the burned property at a HIGHER VALUE than it was! The hammonds did the BLM a favor and increased their property value!

Water gets destroyed all the time. Cellose is not water. Glucose is not water. Water is very reactive, and is involved in almost all biological reactions, where it is used to build more complex molecule as a source of oxygen and hydrogen.
Here's me destroying some water with sodium. The end result of this reaction is half the water is converted to sodium hydroxide and the other half is converted back to water when hydrogen reacts with oxygen in the air, which creates the flame.

It all goes back through transpiration and decay. It isn't destroyed. It is a resting state substance.
