Dunno what kind of mites they are. Pyrethin will annihilate a mite population. It's not very ethical from an environmental responsibility standpoint though

IMO grain should never be stored nearby unless in an airtight container. All sorts of creatures will find their way into grain bags. I've definitely had a bag filled with mite looking creatures, but luckily it was stored in a forgotten spot away from my grows.

That's what I should've done... I tossed that bag so fast.. Didn't even think of the ultimate retribution of PCing and fruiting off their corpses.

Haven't seen any in my jars, can't be absolutely sure though seeing as you can barely see a contam in jars sometimes. I was looking to buy atl#7 but I need money for my motorcycle atm so im definitely hitting the brakes where it comes to mushroom stuff. Sclerotia is cool though, my next buy will definitely be one of them or pans.

From what I've read, they seem to be mold mites but without a microscope, I can't really know for sure. I'm gonna see if it gets any worse before I try anything drastic, especially miticides as I don't want to risk exposing my nieces and nephews to any of that stuff. If it gets out of hand the best I could do is wait till I move upstairs.

Can't really put a 20kg sack in an airtight container, I thought about moving it in the garage but it seems unnecessary, they don't seem like dry grains all that much. Probably only nest in it but that's not something that will cause a problem after a PC cycle.
@inocuole & NDSTEPP84, I think I had those fuckers in my spelt once. Might have saw a few stray ones in my oats as well. When I had those in my spelt there tons of them though. There wasn't one grain without a hole in it . That type of bug is a real problem in petshops here, in summer if you don't put dry pet food and bird seeds on wooden pallets, they won't last a month without being totally infested with them. Really nasty critters.
