How do you measure the humidity?

you hygrometer is most likely not properly calibrated. is there condensation on the inside of the terrarium?

if you have a 1" or > layer of soaked perilite on the bottom of your terrarium, and the enviroment is airtight, you should have a much higher relative humidity. what do u mean you change the perilite every week? you clean out the terrarium, and put fresh wet perilite in? i dont understand why you would do this.

He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest--a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

Basically..i change the perlite because it gets old quick...i usually change it often so i always have fresh, new perlite in the terrarium to help hold the humidity...

I always try and clean my terrarium to help the mushrooms have the best possible environment to grow in... after the perlite has been in the terrarium for a while..it gets weak and doesnt hold the humidty as well... it gets used up...

i use a hygrometer which is calibrated..i usually check it once a month...

Since i have added the mini fish tank heater to the inside of the terrarium...i have had condensation on my drip shield,..the condensation is only on the bottom section..below the drip shield , i also spray the the top of the drip shield to help add some humidty...but im sure it is because it is too close to the glass that the fish tank heater is in...the drip shield is basically resting on the edge of the glass..

i think you may be harboring some false assumptions there. perlite doesn't get used up. you don't need to change it once a week. really, it doesn't need to be changed unless there is a mold outbreak.

how do you calibrate your hygrometer?

what is the temperature in your terrarium?

mush master...im not sure why your asking about how to calibrate a hygromter..i know how to do it...im not gonna type the whole process out..im sure your asking this because if im not doing it right..then that might be my problem.... butim 99 percent sure..that the hygrometer i am using is acurate..my question is how to raise the humidity inside my terrium...right now i can only get it up to around 80 percent...

the temp in my terrarium flux's between 70 to 73 degrees...

from now..ill start saving myself by using my perlits longer...i just thought if i used cleaner perlite...it would help in my terrarium...

If you have enough space in the terrarium you could place some little
pot or glasses of sterilized water. It should work and help you to
gain 15/20% more of humidity.

Are you using an air pump and bubble wands?
