Can I ask you what is in your substrate Mr Fox? That is some weird looking growth you've got going on there.

Decided to do some cakes. That's all I have been able to do since a massive trich problem. I had opened a small bulk tub and seen solid green. Have had problems ever since except for PF-TEK jars.
At any rate these are doing great. Almost too many pins... may end up with smaller fruits. If these don't trich out before 2nd flush I should end up with some bigger fruits on round two.

Growing up super slowly. But serious question, how the fuck am I going to harvest this? Those bitches are soooooo tight in those clusters, and some of them are already fruiting.
There's this absolutely gorgeous one though, slightly bell shaped cap(which is what I"m after) and a beautiful gold color. It seems ready to harvest so I'm gonna clone it tonight or tomorrow.
They also seem to be opening up pretty small. It feels like it's environmental because all 3 varieties I've tried have been that way, but I'm not convinced those were actually legit though, as they've all been basically the same.
Lots of mutants. My goals for cloning and genetics is to get rid of those weird ones, and get a lot of those super excellent nipple shaped ones.

Yep its a good problem to have. Looks like you should have a few spots to be able to reach in to get at em.

It just seems like the ones in the center are going to be finished way before the ones on the edge of the cluster. I was hoping for a canopy, but I suppose a couple of huge mega tight clusters is nothing to be unhappy about. Best pinset so far

I know right! Hopefully I'm able to pull something. If not, I'll still be satisfied. I've never made it this far. lol

Its alder sawdust w/coffee grounds, gypsum & a handful or two of shredded straw. Think I added some canola oil (10ml) can't remember.

Maybe the metabolites are from the oil. The oysters are decontaminating your oil spill zone.

My first LI taking hold! I inoculated 4 , 5qt spawn bags with 10mg LI each, these are sclerotia bags , a nice Galindoi clone.
Im gunna let it take hold a little more and then either shake or leave them be, I kinda dont think they even need a shake

That looks just like my king tub, minus the metabolites. I used 2 qts of spawn to 8 qts of hardwood pellets I got a handful of fruits but all thise pins ended up doing nothing. I even put the tub outside in the rain.

I took clone tissue and I am about to put it to grain so that I can begin round 2. I may lower my spawn ratio and/or up my sustrate ratio. Someone had mentioned before that there may not have been enough available water in the substrate to support such a pinset.

King oysters are beauties. I haven't ever seen these for sale around here so might just have to try cultivating them! I hope that tub recovers and atleast 1 shroom makes it out alive.
More pins poppin up 10 days into fruiting. Woohoo

I like growing in turkey tin trays. I see that you don't have a liner. I use glad press n seal for a liner. It's a bit of a pita to work with but makes the best liner out there.
I've been working with these pasty cake things (tblspn cornmeal/verm). Ive been heading into a blender free slurry direction with them. I also decided to fruit one of them.

So what, do you just toss it into a sterile jar at full colonization and shake like hell? How does it perform?
