Oh puhleez. Making jello in a few Tupperware cups and cutting holes in a box is hardly difficult. I guess some people just like surprise fungi growing in their tubs or slow pinning genetics :blazed:

When you say "not into" agar plates and SAB, what does that mean exactly? Because the way I see it, you can certainly bore a hole with a screwdriver, but isn't it so much better when you have a drill?

Mycology is something that requires the proper tools. You most certainly CAN grow some mushrooms without them, but you're missing so much that this hobby has to offer.

If your goal is to grow some whatever mushrooms once in a while, then by all means. But if you plan to move on, get some good genetics, and most of all not grow human cordyceps in a monotub I think you need to re-evaluate.

Looks dry. A casing can't help if you let it dry out. Hit that with a mist :super:

Yep, you want tiny beads of moisture on the surface. Let it evaporate fully.
When it dries out again, mist it some more. Pins love a good misting :tongue2:
