It's double Frustrating for sure, knowing that any mail to me will most likely get confiscated and equally, not knowing any supply vendor in Aus

Maybe try ordering a couple (no, I can't recommend anyone) One spore print is all you need... if you don't fuck anything up, just sayin Cubensis will be in cow shit come summer so printing your own and cleaning things up in a dish should be something you need to master anyway I think it's easier to grow the mycelium from tissue meself... South of Perth is dairy country yeah?

iv been trying to look for someone to send prints through aswel. seems ridiculous to me that a fungi that grows naturally in this country can be illegal to import but i digress. theres a guy on reddit called mushroom man mycology who apparently sends them through, anyone have any success with him?

Hi peoplez of the interwebz.
The last time I ordered spore prints was back in 2011 from sporeworks. I've recently tried again but it looks like they no longer ship to Australia. And most of the places I found on google also seem to be neglecting us aussies. Can anyone recommend a reputable vendor who will ship a spore print to Oz?

On the topic of labeling spores, is that supposed to be done on the outside of the envelope?

No, that would increase the chance of them opening it. The envelope should look as normal as possible, and shouldn't feel like there is anything other than a standard letter inside.

Mentioned here, but I'm pretty sure the OP is incorrect, and spores are not considered to be psilocybin or psilocyn derivatives. See the definition:
Quote:
derivative means:
(a) in relation to a chemical or compound—any substance chemically derived from the chemical or compound and from which the chemical or compound may be regenerated, and includes a salt of the chemical or compound; and
(b) in relation to an isomer, or a mixture of isomers, of a chemical or compound—any substance chemically derived from the isomer or mixture of isomers and from which the isomer or mixture of isomers may be regenerated, and includes a salt of the isomer or mixture of isomers.
Note the "and" there. Spores are not chemically derived from psilocybin or psilocyn.
Now, I'm pretty sure you are supposed to get a import license to send spores to Australia — BICON probably has details, although I haven't found them.
That being said, it seems extremely unlikely that they'd notice a spore print in a personal letter.

Thank you for the responses. Just to put it out there... In the interests of minimising detection (tampering, interference, theft, etc...) I made a print onto baking paper instead of foil and housed that in one of those thin, resealable plastic envelopes as a better barrier against environmental contamination. After doing that it occurred to me that cling wrap might be an even better alternative.

Wax paper is good - plain paper isn't ideal because it's not sterile, and you get a lot of paper fibers in your field of view when you scope it.
