It rained good today in FL but will the shrooms Ive seen yesterday walking by still be there if I go hunting tonight? The conditions are good so its not a problem but I saw some pretty good ones during the day yesterday and im nervous there wont be much or any at all condisering season just started here and they just started fruiting.

They should still be there, considering the weather in the 813. I would give it a shot. Im thinking of going out today or tomorrow to find some cubensis.

Its worth a shot, let me know if you do find any; I also live in riverview want to know if their there. I went about a month ago to my shitty field and found a few actives. Good luck if you decide to go picking

Can anyone identify what these are. They've made me trip before in the past but ive never seemed to quite establish if these are blue meanies or something else. All i know is they bruise extremely blue and make me trip balls. Took them before plenty of times so theyre not poisonous just curious on what these are called damnit lol

Its not the best picture but they're likely Panaeolus cyanescens, which are blue meanies. Have fun!!

Either that or they could be Panaeolus olivaceus.

I went kayaking and ate 3 grams dry weight of the blue meanies i found last night. I was fishing and catching and reeling in "speckled trout" hehe and the trip lasted at least 6 hours. Oh, as soon as i dragged the kayak in the water and drifted off smoothly i ate every shroom one by one and downed it with gatorade lol

Found about 5 active p. Cubensis specimens, seems nice and early for my area and a side note these are in a field where zero actives were found in 2014 and 2015 but found in the year 2013 and years prior, its cool that theyre back

I've had no luck at any local parks in South Florida despite rainy weather followed by humid warmth :frown:
I'm near Homestead, FL closer to Florida City. I wish I knew of a cool hippy cattle farmer who would let me roam his grounds looking for actives :P
Otherwise...I'm NOT hopping any fence in Florida to go hunting and risk getting shot at.

Perhaps I just haven't focused my efforts enough, or just went to the wrong park? (Only really went hunting at Kendall Indian Hammocks one time in Feb and didn't find anything)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

maybe look for leased public lands on which cattle are grazed?  many, many years ago that's what we used to hunt, but IDK if that is still being done in FL.

you might have to range a bit farther from home to find the path less traveled (and the better environment than a local park).
