Another (hopefully inspiring) angle on digital art

Hello everyone,
I remember posting here years ago some works of art and receiving some interesting feedback and critiques. I noticed that you guys like to do a lot of Photoshop art, so I thought I'd toss something into the pile:
Digital Golem
That was done by hand in The Gimp. Each square was originally 1024x1024. I hope that gives people some new ideas on how to create interesting things with just a mouse and free time. Incidentally - and I hope this isn't taken as a shameless plug (although I hate to admit it is ) - I made this image available as a print on my cafeshop website because I think it would look really nice as a big poster on the wall. If anyone is interested, you can check that out along with a few other things here:

Well, take care. --jk

hmmm...not my cup of tea, but I can live with it.
however...at your Cafeshop, I LOVE your black and white work. I would buy a print of Magnificent Garden but I'm not a fan of the die ink process of printed artwork, even though I am a majority digital artist. If you could get it silkscreened!!!

I'm going to do everyone else a favor and post a link to your other work...specifically your Rapidograph drawings. I love it.

wow
I really like the way Digital Golem was done, great tones and colors, the "brush strokes" are very nice, it all lending an "organic" feel -- despite it's digital form
i am in awe of your black&white drawings.

Milky - I'd really like to make the ink drawings available as well, but unfortunately it just doesn't work out well with a regular flatbed scanner. The one I did manage to put up seemed to take more time and effort than it was worth. I'll definitely look into silkscreening - thanks for the tip.

Thanks for posting that main link, but there's actually an "even more main" link that goes to a page with a frontend:
pernetrope.net
This is easier to navigate and there are thumbnail previews of all the images.

Thanks for the compliments. Which of the ink drawings is your favorite? I realize that the digital picture is a long stride from my other stuff, but it's good to know some people like it. Do you think you'd like to see more digital pictures similar to this one?

Wow, this stuff is really cool...
I clicked thinking "this had better not be more photoshop filtered fractals", and it definately wasn't. I love the detail in your drawings. Really, really nifty stuff.
