When the Mind Effects the Body
    #2272513 - 01/25/04 08:41 PM (13 years, 1 month ago)

How do you define the connection between mind and matter? Why is it that when you do something unselfish you are rewarded with a warm feeling inside. What is the reason for this? Are emotions such as guilt and warmth culturally programed or are the genetically programed. If they are a part of us genetically why does life want to strive?

Well, since no one has responded, I thought I'd borrow one cent from Ed.

I don't know about or understand the connection between the mind and matter.

However, I don't always get a warm feeling when I do the right thing. Sometimes, I do the right thing, because I know it's the right thing, but I "feel" irritated inside, and scream "fuck!" loudly inside my brain, because I would rather have not done the right thing.

Example: Turning in money that I found, as one example.
