Happy New Year !
PE clone. saw first pins in 13 days. 13 days after put into fruiting conditions is typical. BUT, this is 13 days from spawning (mixing the tub) ! azur style (mix bulk and spawn, apply casing layer, poly in and into fruiting conditions ... all at once)
this is 5 days after seeing first pins

Nice! Jesus that is fast man! So you case and fruited right after spawning? Is it just a fast clone or did that style have something to do with it?
Fuck my MS PE trays are so slow right now. Been 2 or 3 weeks in fruiting

yeah. azur had a PE tub pin in 7 days ... I couldn't believe it.
this clone culture isn't fast. in fact, it's kinda tired out. I normally duct tape the holes for colonization which takes 7 days. then I would let it 'consolidate' for 2 days and then put into fruiting (duct tape off and poly in) and it would then take anywhere from 10 to 20 days for first pins (13 was typical / good).
so this is cutting a good 6 to 10 days off my 'best case' and cutting a good two weeks (16 days) off my 'worst case'.
yippee
his original intent was to speed-up PE and I think he has succeeded
this PE culture really responds well to the 'spawn, case, poly and fruit' all at once tek

These bags were a little experiment, never really grown with bags befor let alone wood substrate. They're made with mostly ponderosa pine saw dust, a little bit of red oak saw dust, and alder chips! I pretty much just used what I had available at the time

Happy 2016!
I was out too late and slept in (I know poor me, right?), but harvesting fruit covered in spores sucks!
I'm not complaining though. Not a bad start to 2016.

That's not even a bad spore drop. A few more hours and that whole tub could have been covered. I've seen a few late harvested tubs that looked like somebody hit them with a whole can of black spray paint.
