Adequate Grow Chamber?
    #2271659 - 01/25/04 03:08 PM (13 years, 13 hours ago)

A FOAF is about to try its hand at its first Casing Experiment, and it was just curious whether its grow chamber would be adequate.  It is using an 11 gallon Sterilite COntainer with 2 inches of moistened perlite in the bootom for humidification purposes.  In the chamber it will place 2 baking trays; each with a 2 cake casing.  The right fanning, light, temp. will be met.  A 60/40 Coco Coir/Vermiculite casing layer will be used.  Does this sound like all bases are covered?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yeh the perlite should provide plenty of humidity. the only suggestion I could make is hooking up an air pump, because fanning is the sucks!

I have a similar set up, except mine is heated with an aquarium heater in a second tub that the fruiting chamber is stacked into. I'm actually having a problem with too much humidity. The walls are totally covered with droplets. I'm considering removing all the perlite and just hand misting a few times a day, so keep that in mind.
