Help me Identify
    #2271604 - 01/25/04 02:49 PM (13 years, 1 month ago)

I live on the gulf coast and frequently hunt in the surrounding area. I usually only hunt cubes which are easly identifyable (Excuse my speeling) But i hear rumors of a mushroom(supposedly magic), which ive seen. They are usually no bigger than a cm or two and the color ranges from tan to literally metallic gold! The bell is conic, and the stem's are dark brown and very thin, no more than a few mm's. Are these safe to eat? Are they "magical" Any help would be appreachiated

You might be talking about either Panaeolus cyanescens or Panaeolus subbalteatus.
