What career do you wish you started early? 2

We all make mistakes, especially when young. The problem with myself is I never knew what I wanted when I was in school, now I wish I could do so many awesome and fun careers but being 25 now, I am pretty much fucked, in my opinion. I tend to jump from hobby to hobby, I get obsessed with something and then do something different. I still have dreams but now... most of my dream careers are AWAY out the window. Careers I wish I had started when younger and still think about today....
Game programmer/developer. Funnily enough, this interest started young, at like 16 to 17 years old but I never stuck to it.
Chemistry. I would had loved to work in a lab, studying and learning about chemicals.
Psychologist or psychiatrist. This is a newer interest, I enjoy learning how the human mind works and behaves.
This is still, in my head, a possibility. Becoming a semi-pro or professional boxer/kick-boxer/MMA but, I've not done any combat sports in 3 years now.
Kids, listen to your elders.. they speak the truth when comes to sticking at school and thinking about getting a solid, enjoyable career and not having to work in shitty retail or dead end jobs. Anyone else have specific careers they wish they got excellent at?

None of those careers are too late to start at 25. That's an excuse.
I would have considered going to the air force academy and becoming a fighter pilot, just for the fun of it.

Programming is awful, take it from me.
Good money for shooting yourself in the foot.
Chemistry would have been cool though, I agree.
Well, I have had that as a profession a couple times now, but never legitimately :V
Also, I never got to work with the really cool stuff.
Maybe I will go back to school, online at least. Yeah, I think I will do that.
Seems you can't really get into that one without a degree.
Or making your own lab :V

Music; even though I've been semi-successful, it was mostly due to knowing the right people at the right time. Now that circumstances are different, I'm at a roadblock and have no idea what to do. The songs are good but it's nigh impossible to just keep decent bandmates, let alone make any progress without a crapton of capital (money) or connections.
Also, farming. My stupid, stupid younger self had every in imaginable (family business) but took it for granted and didn't learn a damn thing. For shame.

you can still do all those things, and u don't necessarily need to go to school to learn about them, although it would probably help alot.
i dont really wish for such things, but it would have been pretty sweet if i had paid more attention in school and did all my homework. Not only because it wouldve help me economically in the future, but because learning is cool. I just wish they didnt force it down our throats so much.

Wind turbine tech. Going up 400ft in the air and working with high voltage when its windy as hell.
Pay is unbelievable. Probably gunna go into that trade in September, the next 25 years will be awesome for renewables.

Fuck that MMA BS and go for a psych degree/job. Anything in the medical field. I went back to school in my 40's and got an RN degree.

I'm seriously considering this. I've been rock climbing my whole life, so I'm naturally enticed by rope access work. How are you looking at getting into it?

You're saying you're going to go into it in a few months though.
Are you going to get your certifications you need for those jobs on your own dime?
Do you know someone who can get you in or do you just have relevant experience?
etc. etc.

I would have started any career early rather than have gone to college. Hell, even the DMV - public employees get compensated very well and don't need shit for training or college.
