With the near non-stop media coverage of Deans rallying speech after the Iowa defeat, I thought that we should all discuss it some. Did anyone else think he'd look a bit better with a Hitler 'stache talking in German? Another one of Angry Deans Angry Antics. 4 more years of Bush near guaranteed

If it looks like Bush will win for sure I hope he goes into a coma.

I think if we're going to compare one of the candidates to Hitler...
...well, nevermind.

I'm guessing you mean Bush, so lets do your little trite liberal comparison. Libbies love to say how "hitler like" people are.
1) hitler banned private firearm ownership, what party likes that? 2) Bush has a number of Jewish and minority groups represented in his cabinet
I don't even need to continue this. You can have your cute little liberal phrases and have a wodnerful time with them. Come November, i'm going to laugh so hard at you libbies, four more yeras of bush

Hitler was elected according to the laws of his nation, so was Bush, a connection!
Hitler breathed air, so did bush!
Hitler spoke, so did bush!
Hitler had a very commanding presence in front of audiences and captivated them with his mastery of oration.....

destroyed civil liberties in Germany--destroyed civil liberties of America
Reichstad Fire--9/11(not saying Bush knew, but I'm not saying he didn't, either)
Conquered most of Europe--two Middle-Eastern countries so far
shall I continue?

The title of the thread betrays your position
so you think Bush's next target is Poland, eh? Well actually, he's specifically being nice to them now.

Hey TOYK, have you posted here under another name before? Just asking. Shakta and Wingnutx haven't been around lately, and lycergic likes to change his name from time to time.
People don't compare Bush to Hitler because Bush hates minorities or any religion. They compare him to Hitler because he is a warmonger, likes to conquer other countries, uses fear to take away the rights of his people, etc..

Let's get this back on topic, this thread is about Dean, not Bush or Hitler. I find it hilarious that Bush can land on an aircraft carrier in a military jump suit under a banner announcing "Mission Accomplished" after the slaughter of thousands of Iraqis, and get feted by the media. Dean gets a little worked up at a pep-talk for thousands of his supporters who worked their hardest to help him exceed his expectations for Iowa, and suddenly he's not fit to be President because he's such an 'angry man'. Liberal media? Dean's been getting smeared ever since he was noticed as a front-runner.
Quote:
"Ways, I, Howard Dean, can turn things around." --- 10. Switch to decaf. 9. Unveil new slogan, "Vote for Dean and get one dollar off your next purchase at Blimpie." 8. Marry Rachel on the final episode of "Friends." 7. Don't change a thing, it's going great. 6. Show a little more skin. 5. Go on "American Idol" and give them a taste of those pipes. 4. Start working out and speaking with an Austrian accent. 3. I can't give specifics yet, but it involves Ted Danson. 2. Fire the staffer who suggested I do this lousy Top 10 List instead of actually campaigning. 1. Oh, I don't know - maybe fewer, crazy, red-faced rants.
I think Dean did the right thing by being humble about this and turning it into a joke (which is exactly what the US media looks to this outsider, a joke). There's a page with the "yeeaarrgh" speech and some funny remixes here.
-------------------- The above is an extract from my fictional novel, "The random postings of Edame". In the beginning was the word. And man could not handle the word, and the hearing of the word, and he asked God to take away his ears so that he might live in peace without having to hear words which might upset his equinamity or corrupt the unblemished purity of his conscience. And God, hearing this desperate plea from His creation, wrinkled His mighty brow for a moment and then leaned down toward man, beckoning that he should come close so as to hear all that was about to be revealed to him. "Fuck you," He whispered, and frowned upon the pathetic supplicant before retreating to His heavens.
