Alternatives to Mad Bags?
    #21480920 - 03/30/15 08:14 PM (9 years, 1 month ago)

Hi guys -- I know some people say we shouldn't post vendor names on this forum but the rules of this particular forum don't mention that, and I'm also in need of advice.

I've used Mad Bags from the Mad Season before, and overall they were very good. However I recently ordered a bunch of bags (6-12 or so), waited 10 days for shipment (normal since they make them on demand), and patiently awaited my bags... a week goes by, nothing, two weeks, nothing. The USPS shipment hasn't even changed from status "Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS".

So I emailed them once. No response. Then twice. Then thrice. Now I'm up to 4-5 times, no response. They don't have a phone number or twitter or facebook, nothing. The reviews on their bags also show a few other people saying they haven't heard back from them. I'm guessing they went out of business or are simply stealing peoples' money for as long as possible.

So my question is: are there any other alternatives to Mad Bags out there? I loved these bags because they are a 'fire and forget' solution. You inoculate, shake up the bag at 30% but otherwise they take care of themselves all the way up to pinning. All of the other options involve building various terraria and other sorts of DIY gear.

Any suggestions from the forum?

Hey bud sorry for a response with a bad mojo to it, but I ordered 2 mad bags from them about 3 weeks ago. My order fell off their website after I was charged for them.. Tried contacting them 4 times with no response. They are not a sponser to these forums anyway.

I called my bank and said my order dropped off the site and wasn't issued a refund. And my bank politely refunded me the money.
I would recommend doing the same, and just inoculating some jars if you're able to. Or purchase bags from a Shroomery Sponsor and put your own substrate in them.

Happy shrooming!

Cool, thanks guys. I think I liked the Mad Bags because they did not require me making my own substrate -- minimal effort required. But since the Mad Season seems to have disappeared into the night, I have no choice.

What other sites do you recommend? I saw the out-grow.com site but that's just bags, not substrate. I like the way the Mad guys have it all packaged together.

Ordered from Madseason
Going over week 3 no items.

Ordered last year, and items were shipped promptly
Will use listed vendor nextime!

But I'm not happy.  After complaint on email to them,
they created a shipping label, but no tracking number was generated.
B.S.
Three weeks!

Did they go out of business?
