I think it was Orca who told a while ago that maybe the Democrats will bring out Biden and Elizabeth Warren at the last minute??

Apparently Warren is quite popular?

I dont know.

i think what you said it maybe more likely but who would the Republican besides Trump be?

Maybe Ted Cruz. I know the GOP establishment would be thrilled to have another Bush. If this thing ended up being Bush vs Clinton I would shit my pants lol!

America will implode if they subvert our wishes so blatantly. However, if Bernie and Trump both ran 3rd party it would be EPIC!

i think they've both repeatedly ruled that out (running independently) but that doesnt mean much.  yeh man that would be interesting.

I dont think Bush has a chance, nor Cruz. There are like 15 million republican candidates for president at the moment, is that correct? I didn't even know Lindsey Graham, the ass, was in the race until i saw the last debate. Do they keep adding people or was he always in it?

If Cruz got it, i will eat my invisible hat (its a top hat). Man, that would make me so unhappy, mainly because it would make Shroom Detective so happy.

thoughts on the Biden/Warren prospect? I personally don't think much of Biden and i know nothing of Warren, so they are probably still better than Clinton.

If Clinton gets it, who would her running mate be?

I hadn't realized Lindsey Graham was in either... I certainly don't know why lmao!

Cruz has been rising in the polls. He's beating Trump in one state. I've lost a bit of respect for Warren. I'm a bit skeptical about her, but she is generally considered one of the strongest liberals in government. I'm neutral on Biden also. No idea who Clinton's VP might be.

If Clinton taps Bernie, does he accept?

I wouldn't. He'd do more in the Senate, same as Warren.

Why? What'd she do?

I can't help but wonder if she made some kind of a deal with Clinton not to run.  She had tremendous liberal support early in the race, but for whatever reason she refused to run.

I saw an interview it Elizabeth Warren making excuses for Clinton voting for a bill that would protect citizens from irresponsible bankers. She supposedly had had a private meeting with Hillary, explained why the bill was dangerous thoroughly, supposedly got Hillary on board, and then Hillary voted for it anyway. Bill Clinton shot it down, and she says we can thank Hillary for that, but that there was so much influence over Hillary that she couldn't vote how she wanted in the Senate.

She supports Israel, which I never held against her too much, because it's a small difference of opinion.

I am just kind of shocked that she hasn't come out and vocally supported Bernie Sanders, to be honest. She could have helped him out a lot, especially with women voters.

Like I said, I've lost a small amount of respect for her. I still think she is a good Senator, but she's no Bernie Sanders.

A lot of people wished it was her running instead of Bernie. I am not one of them. Warren really isn't as great a candidate for president as she is an effective liberal senator anyway. I think she's much better where she's at.

There's no way a real Socialist could ever be president, and even if we elected one, he wouldn't be able to implement Socialism. Bernie is exactly what we need. He's a reasonable middle ground.

I agree w ya, Bernie is the best path to meaningful change currently offered. And the current class awareness of the US is too low to allow any real leftism. "american liberalism" just personally irks me, it's incredibly shallow.

Did you watch the little clip I posted of the opening scene of a TV show called 'The Newsroom' (I think that's the name)?

It was funny, because this news anchor was talking to the lefty on stage, and he said 'If liberals are so smart, how come they lose so goddamn ALWAYS!'. Generally, he was right. Conservatives run America, by and large. They have America gerrymandered in almost every state, and they control over 70% of state governments, and congress.

Liberals are obviously the more intellectual side of the discussion (generally speaking), but they aren't nearly as tenacious. It's like a poodle (supposedly the most intelligent dog breed), in a dog fight with a rabbid bulldog.

Republicans still defend Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann. They are rabbidly partisan. They call Obama a Socialist lmao!

When we see a dishonest candidate, we usually turn our back on them. Consider Obama. You will not find much support for him in left-wing circles any longer. Even Warren. I am leery about her after some things I've seen her say.

I think the polls are very misleading, with regard to Hillary, also. They don't account for millenials at all, because millenials don't have landlines, and they are not what pollsters consider to be 'likely voters'. When I peruse the internet, I see Bernie supporters everywhere. I don't see support for Hillary on anywhere close to the same scale. The whole process is rigged.

Take heart in the fact that, win or lose, Bernie has awoken the leftist spirit in America, and many intellectuals are hard at work guiding leftism away from rabbid SJW nonsense, toward substantive philosophical discussion and change.

It appears like more of the same back and forth tribalism we've seen for decades.  Every time we bounce between the left and right, our freedoms are eroded a bit more.  The righties take our freedom in the name of security and the lefties take our freedom in the name of social progress.  End result:  We have less freedom and neither security nor progress.

We have 1000X the security we need, so I don't have a clue what in the fuck you're talking about there. What freedom have lefties taken away in the name of progress?

We are less secure today than we were in 2001.  Wars make us less secure, and we've been in constant war.  What freedoms have liberals taken away?  Let's see, we've seen minimum wage hikes, gun regulation, environmental regulation, health insurance regulation.  I'm sure there are a lot more, too.

The only thing on that list that comes remotely close to 'rights taken away' would be gun regulation, and I don't know of any headway that's been made in the arena. I think this is a real false equivalency.

The rest can just as easily argued to be rights secured via legislation. The right to maintaining air quality. Healthcare as a right. The right to a certain standard of living via mandatory wage minimums.

That's what lefties always say.  What they ignore is the freedom to contract, which minimum wage laws and health insurance regulation limit.  As far as gun regulation, there are literally thousands of gun regulation laws from clip size limit and caliber bans to registration laws.
