I worked many very physical jobs in my life.  When I did theatre, I would often work 48 hours straight, going up and down ladders all day carrying heavy objects.  That was hard, but not as exhausting as a trial.

Of course, I was younger then, so perhaps trials just seem harder to me now because I'm older.  Either way it's not easy stuff.

Fair enough. I don't think I could do your job. I think it would eat at me. On one hand, I like a challenge, but on the other, it seems like a lot of it would be tedious, and soul-numbing, at least for me. Then again, the same can be said of most of the labor jobs I have had, and there was never any challenge to most of them. I really think I'm going to try to start my own business in the next few years.

That's the best idea.  Being one's own boss rocks.  It's a lot of work, but it's far more rewarding.

Have you owned a business?

$300/hr.  Trial is 12-16 hour days, though.  It's brutal work, but I end up with a chunk of change at the end.

do you ever get harassed for price gouging? Prolly not considering you are on the "progressive bandwagon"

Progressives never bitch about rich progressives, funny how that happens

harassed...by price gouging....

isn't that what an improvement of the manufacturing sector will lead to; higher prices? if people want to get paid more, they are going to raise prices, because tax reform doesn't stop the insistence in making a profit, and to make a profit, companies will have raise prices, that is, if they want to pay their employees more- less nothing changes for the employees livelihood.

how else can those employed in manufacturing jobs see a positive adjustment?

or am i way off...i've been up for a day extra past my due, because of Welfare Monopoly.

you always mention how he lived like a poor shmuck the whole rest of his life, up until now since he ran and got paid for running like everyone else, but less than ANYONE else- then sold his (with his wife's) assets to afford a decent home for once.

but whatever- like you wouldn't do the same thing. thing is: no one is actually asking for more than a paradigm shift....nothing more. no one is asking people to sacrifice their livelihood for the sake of their beliefs.

no, no that's not the same thing. death threats =/= asking you to sacrifice yourself.

$300 an hour is middle class.  Doctors make that much.
