The elusive 95% humidity....
    #2262544 - 01/22/04 12:37 PM (13 years, 3 days ago)

Some of you guys that put holes in your tupperware how big are the holes? Im going to assume one on each long end of the container or perhaps 2 on top would work best. You fill them with polyfill(for stuffed animals?) correct?

And for everyone else, do you even moniter the humidity or just fan frequently, say 5 times a day to try and keep the humidty down?

~thanks~

someone please correct me if i'm wrong, but you dont want to keep the humidity down, 95 is good, however fanning is necessary to exchange new fresh air into the terrarium and get rid of the CO2 build up.

if your gonna be fanning you don't need holes at all, if you want to hook up a fish tank pump and airstone 2-3 holes the size of a magic marker stuffed with polyfill will be good, imo you should still fan at least once a day though sice those aquarium pumps aren't the greatest for air exchange, and yeah you want the humidity high the reason for fanning is air exchange, you should mist the walls after you fan to keep the humidity up.
