cheap and easy remedy for morning depression 2

For the last year or so, since retirement, I would wake almost every morning in a dull, heavy, prone-to-dread mood.
One night before going to bed, I ate 4 soaked apricots--they come semi- desicated in pound packages. I soak them in water to soften them so apricot particles don't lodge between my teeth.
Anyway, the next morning I woke and noticed at once that I wasn't depressed. I immediately set to work wondering what I might have done to effect this change. The only thing I could come up with that I was doing differently was eating those 4 apricots.
That night I ate 4 more and...lo! (lo, not lol) when I woke I again was free of depression!
Every night since that time I have been doing the apricot thing and every morning I have not suffered the heavy crushing mood that has been riding me for over a year.
I put this on the pub mainly because I figure it will get a wider audience that way. And too, lets face it, pubs are where people go to chase away the blues (how crazy is that?).
This is my sort of remedy: Cheap and easy. Obviously it won't work for every depressee, but certainly it is worth a try.
I will also post it on the health and well-being forum.

Hm, interesting. I wonder if anyone has any ideas on what might be happening here?
Is there any known medical value of anything in these buggers?
Maybe they're acting like hydrating sacs in your belly and hydrating you through the night and just waking up well hydrated is something most people do not do!

The hydrating idea is one that hadn't occurred to me. Could be. However, I'm not scienntist enough to argue with success. As long as it seems to be working, I'm not going to ask the gift horse to open its mouth too wide.

This would be cheap but not easy. I like remedies that can associate with both these adjectives.

Take it from me, it works.
A good rule to shaking off depression is running from whats comfortable. Taking it easy is normally what gets people into a negative mainframe, its easy to forget what we are in a society of cell phones, hot water, fast food, porn etc.
Challenge yourself or get comfortable laying down

The sure fire cure for me is wake up, eat 6 oz of beef with 2 eggs over it, a big glass of milk, a banana, some grapefruit juice, do some push ups, situps, ad stretches for 15 minutes, pop 50mgs of dexedrine, 100mg of wellbutrin drink a double shot of coffee, clean up, fuck the neighbors horny old lady after he leaves for work, and Im good to go.
Works wonders.

Weed is a non-contender for me. It is a cause, not a cure for depression

Where do you think I got the idea in the first place?

This sounds like a recipe for a (very) short life.

Yes, it might do something, but it is not replicable. I might be able to bring myself to do the cold shower thing once or even twice, but on a regular basis? Nah.
