These are PDA plates, second transfer from a single drop from MS syringes.
South American, and B+

Quick question . . . I'm used to using cloned tissue to make spawn and haven't played with MS since the early 90's.
I once drew a conclusion, all things being equal (grain, moisture, temps, etc), that cloned tissue eats through grain and seed faster than MS.
Was I out of my mind or has anyone seen this trend - that there's a difference in aggressiveness / growth rate?
Are all of your plates from cloned tissue? I was under the impression that you shouldn't clone any fruit that is already a clone or rather you should limit the number of times you clone within one clone's genetic line. Do you ever make prints or MS syringes from your tubs and isolate out fresh mycelium before cloning again?

I think I was a bit confusing because I brought up the topic of cloning. None are clones.
I mentioned, "These are PDA plates, second transfer from a single drop from MS syringes."
When I clone, I just make a few plates, and use them.

How much does your 24x24 flowhood weigh?
Some Pics for the thread:
A little bit of supplies I just picked up:
Gonna burn through one of those bags of oats tomorrow.
Found some wood ear mushrooms at my folks place in the wood pile just before leaving after thanksgiving. I grabbed the biggest one to clone it.

Got mycelium on 3 plates pretty easily given how damn thin these mushrooms are, here's the best looking one at this point:

PCing 12 SSD blocks tonight to inoculate tomorow with 12 qts of King oyster:

And some Ps Azure plates 1 transfer from 5 plates with single drops of spore solution. Gotta do a few more transfers before I get an isolate:

I don't think I've ever seen mycelium look so rhyzomorphic and curvy, especially after a single transfer from spores.

 envySS wedge to oats
PEU LC to grain, slow recovery didn't let the LC colonize enough
same PEU LC on pastywhyte/muda straw/oat/brf substrate bottle
shooting star clone. cased straight grains with CVG
