Species:

Picture as as found. Apologies for not getting a better look of the gills and veil. Looks like I was about a day late, as I believe these are waterlogged after a few days of consistent rain in east texas.

Picture after I dehydrated the fungus. I realize this is not the most telling image, but I figured I would include it. The bluing on the edge of the caps disappeared when drying. Dried in a food dehydrator at 110-115 F (slightly higher than the recommended 95 F as I was trying to quickly remove the excess water to prevent any rot.
Habitat: Large cow pasture in east texas, 2 hours north of Houston. Found on the edge of cow poop. This came after about 3 days of light but consistent rain after thanksgiving. Temperature 55F-60F, high humidity.
Gills: The gill color is dark purple/black and closely spaced.
Stem: Whitish, hollow on the interior. Bruised greenish blue when broken/squeezed.
Cap: Brown/tan with whiter on the edges. Some partially translucent on the edges with darker blue coming through. This disappeared after drying. Some had a "nipple" (for lack of a better word) in the center. Also this seemed very mature as some of the caps began to crack.
Spore print color: A dark purple color, with some brown (this may be due to the water dripping onto the paper used for the print. Water outside the spores dried brownish.) I only took a print of one of the caps, hopefully this wasn't a rookie mistake.
Bruising: Blue with a hint of green when cap or stem was broken.
Location: East Texas cow pasture.
Thoughts? Also, if these are cubensis, is the water logging or the age of the mushroom (older, some cracking on the cap) a concern?

Surprised you haven't got a reply. They do look cubensish. Wait for a TI. Welcome to Shroomery
