State of the Union Address

|

Blah blah blah excuses blah blah lies blah blah everyone who isn't American is a threat blah blah Michael Jackson had my baby blah blah I think that's what I heard.
Right, so... *the ends justify the means *who's a bully? SHADDUP! *Bush plans on keeping the Patriot Act alive (though there was a round of applause when he said "the Patriot Act expires next year" - this is good) *"America will never seek a permission slip to defend the security of our country" followed by cheering... it makes me ill. What's that old saying... it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. *vomits*
I'll end with Sabbath's "War Pigs": Generals gathered in their masses Just like witches at black masses Evil minds that plot destruction Sorcerers of death?s construction In the fields the bodies burning As the war machine keeps turning Death and hatred to mankind Poisoning their brainwashed minds, oh lord yeah!
Politicians hide themselves away They only started the war Why should they go out to fight? They leave that role to the poor
Time will tell on their power minds Making war just for fun Treating people just like pawns in chess Wait ?till their judgement day comes, yeah!
Now in darkness, world stops turning As the war machine keeps burning No more war pigs of the power Hand of God has sturck the hour Day of judgement, God is calling On their knees, the war pigs crawling Begging mercy for their sins Satan, laughing, spreads his wings All right now!
-------------------- Note: In desperate need of a cure...

I thought it was Bush's double, until he closed his speech notebook hitting the microphone, and then knocked over Cheney's glass spilling some liquid all over the place.

True, but he hasn't gotten any better at the actual content of his speaches.
I like Bush less than ever now. He will certainly not get my vote.

To see how well the lies ar crafted and presented.
Clinton generally spoke the exact opposite of what he meant.
Bush is more of a misdirection kinda of a guy that sort of looks like and acts like tweedy bird from warner bros cartoons if you squint and imagine him in a little yellow suit.

Clinton is not a good man but Bush is a worse president. This may only be because Clinton had an opposition party in Congress to counterbalance his grasps for power, we do not have this with Bush and our liberty is suffering for it. The precedents of more power being concentrated in the executive branch, the gutting of the Bill of Rights and the Constitution will not be turned back by subsequent Democratic administrations should they come to power. We will continue the slide toward dictatorship and end up like past democracies and great powers of history. We are the modern Romans, we have lost the Republic as Benjamin Franklin's words gave us warning. It is the twilight of the 'American Experiment.'

This isn't a Republicrates VS Demo-Libbies (republicans are just as guilty) it's just a case of all the so called "compasionate" people out there making themselves look like hypocrites. If they spent less time hating and more time trying to change what makes them angry then i'm sure they would be happier people. Quote:

It's not that hard, hate is a hard thing to hold on to. Quote:

Many on the right think the same of the last administration. How can anyone be taken seriously when everything they say is tainted with hate? I'm not talking aboot "anti-americans" either.

well put and quite sad. I was very disappointed last night at what i heard Bush say in his speech. It was void of any solutions (which is what i always blame libbies of) and pie in the sky dreams (mars). There seemed to be a lot of back-slapping during the whole speech which bothered me.

after the speachh i turned on the tv to cnn, this is what i heard "do you think the president helped or just didnt hurt his campaign..."
does anyone else see the missing option?
