Almost done colonizing

Its day 13 and all 4 cakes are almost done colonizing, probably would be done by now but for some reason the spores in 2 of the 4 holes never germinated so i'm just waiting on the mycellium to finish taking that area over. All the rest looks good, nice fluffy and white. The only questionable thing I can see is there seems to be water droplets building up on the inside of the 1/2 pint jars. My incubator has been running between 83-86 (sometimes up to 87 but it drops back down quick). Im guessing the cakes will be done in 3 to 4 days and I'm definately planning on dunking them to get the water back. In the meantime, should the cakes be fine?

Is rolling in verm really necessary, I was planning on dunking for 24 hours in the fridge, and placing them on a lid with a moist layer of verm on the bottom (all then going in the terrarium)? I've heard mixed things about rolling and was thinking I could get by without it. Heh I dont really need a HUGE flush, but just big enough

You could case its really simple. Just straight verm mixed to about the same water content as the PF tek, through in microwave, crumble cakes and put the casing on evenly. Incubate casing for like 3 days, then put in fruiting chamber. Bigger flush

Afoaf has the condensation on the bottom of her jars and was thinking of loosening the lids a little bit. The innoc holes were only taped for the pc and removed the day they were placed in the incubator. She was also wondering about flipping the jars, most are about 70-80%.

go ahead and flip get rid of the co2, condensation is completly normal, I've never seen a jar that didn't have condensation on the walls and/or bottom...

If you put your cake directly on perlite, you're more than likely going to have some fat, small, waterlogged shroomies. which, is not a good thing :-P

So flipping your jars upside down is a good thing? How does this rid of the co2, and when should the jars be flipped and for how long? Thanks!

that's not going to solve ur problem. that verm will suck up the water and push it into the cake.
just make a lil lid, fill it w/ sterile wet verm and place ur cake on that.
