Fuck man I have been reading all the posts since my first post in this thread and haven't posted since cause I found every excuse to keep drinking. So fucking sick of myself, my daughter drew a picture for me with the word beer in hearts all over. I asked her why and she says "thats what you love the most" (I actually want to take a picture of it and show you guys casue of how sad it really is)....shit broke my heart...not enough to stop though.

I have an amazing family and wife, just waiting for the day I wake up and find my life in pieces....again.

Alcohol is the great eraser.....It's primary use in the world is as a solvent....kinda ironic, isn't it. You could use that letter as your bottom...it doesn't have to go any lower. The elevator can stop at any floor....Prayers to you...sounds a lot like me back in my second marriage.

Pretty quiet in here.

Still alc free..  I forget how many day it's been, I'll have to go back a few pages to where I was keeping count.  It really doesn't matter I guess.  I can say with honesty that there's a pretty good chance I'll never drink again.  Zero desire, doesn't occupy my thoughts.

I work next door to a liquor shop and once or twice when I was having a hard day I would think "man, it would be nice to get plowed" but it was in a "it would be nice to knock a bitch's head off" sort of way so it wasn't serious.

I do miss catching buzzes though, there's just nothing available.  I've discovered that a good portion of what motivated my drinking is the fact I hate society and my job.  Life is good, nature is good.  Most people suck, my job(s) suck and I get 0 alone time.  I hate it, and am sick of it.  People say "so get a new job" but I've worked enough jobs to know it's just jumping from one sinking ship to another.  Any job that I would love, I'm not qualified for and I don't learn in the form of school so that's that.  I just have to accept I'm serving a life sentence with no parole and I'm scheduled for an execution at the end.  That's a dark pill to swallow.

It would be great if I was a heroin addict with this fentanyl saturating the market nowdays.  That's got to be the best way to die, just pass out and never even realize it.

Oh well, atleast I have some grub and a roof for now.  And my feather pillow and blanket.  Probably my two favorite possessions, as long as I'm with them I know everything is ok.

I've been at the point with certain jobs where I stopped going because I hated it so much I would have rather killed myself than go to work. I really understand how you feel. It's really brutally fucking depressing. I hate capitalism and this whole fucking system so bad I want to take a huge shit on it. I'm surprised far more people don't go postal. Your bosses keep fucking up your life. I'm thinking why does everybody take this shit. It's awful. Money is the worst idea mankind ever had. Every other animal gets by without it but we have to fucking ruin everything with it. I fucking hate it. Fuck work.

Couldn't have said that better myself.  Without human's money its illegal for me to even live on this earth.  No place to plant seeds, no place to hunt, no place to live.. no nothing.  The true Anti-Christ at work.

I know I'm supposed to love and forgive my enemies but I hope they all fucking burn.  I hope they get a heaping helping of true suffering and that suffering lasts for a LONG time, as in it never ends.

Every last one..

I'm on day 44 right now. I'm not sure if i posted here once i started relapsing, but it got really bad really quick. I couldn't fucking stop using cocaine, alcohol, heroin, and meth, or really anything that i could get my hands on. Within a week i was waking up and immediately drinking and eating xanax.

I really fucked up a lot of things. I lost my savings, my job, a future job, and my sanity.

Thankfully, things are getting better. I got away from a toxic relationship, and moved up north where i knew i would be safer for the extremely delicate beginning of the process.

Took about 3 weeks for things to really start turning around mentally.

I thought i might stand a better chance after 13+ months of being sober. Turns out the people in the program were right.

Sobriety is truly so much better. I'm just a misanthropic, suicidal junkie without the program and my sobriety.

Much love!

Thanks for sharing that....and God, I'm glad you made it back after those combinations. No one can take that sober time away...it gave you a glimpse of how life can be when living it on life's terms.

All any of us have is today.... period. It took me a long time to come to terms with the fact that I had a disease....it would respond to alcohol and drugs or God and AA equally....either one.

God and AA is much, much easier.:sunny::peace:

made 14 months on the 21st. Things are going great, Got a little depressed in the winter but its been sunny and warm all week and it really recharged me. Spending alot of time outside practicing with my lathe

I feel confident that at least half the reason ive been having a good time with sobriety has been all the hobbies ive picked up. Especially reading and woodworking. Read every night for a few hours, and already finished 9 books this year. Had to put woodworking on the backburner for winter but its great to get back to it

Still not going to meetings but i read Grapevine quite a bit and enjoy that. Worth the subscription

So hard to quit. It's just something I do every single night. I never drink before 5pm, but any extra day I have off, etc; you can be damn sure I'm cracking one open as soon as 5 hits. I've drank 3/4ths a 1.75 of wild turkey 101 in less than a week.....

For what? I don't know either.

Been "addicted" to alcohol for a year now and it deeply saddens me.
